Who We Are
ABOUT US
What We Believe
Jesus Is Lord!
As United Methodists, we place our feet squarely upon the historic creeds of the Church. The first and simplest creed was “Jesus is Lord!” That’s worth shouting! And echoing the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed, we believe in God the Father as our Creator, and in Jesus the Son as “God in the Flesh,” our Redeemer and Savior. And we believe in the very present Holy Spirit who fills, empowers, equips and changes us.
All God’s Children Got Monkeys!
In other words, we all have “recovery” issues. Whether it is alcoholism, sexual addiction, drugs, or something more socially acceptable such as workaholism, people pleasing, perfectionism, control—all of us stand in need of God’s liberating grace.
Experience God, Experience Change!
Our left-brained culture assumes that more information solves all problems. Finding the right “how to” book or attending a seminar are often thought to be the answer. But we believe lasting change happens as we encounter more fully the God who loves us. The scriptures assure us that as we gaze on his glory, we are “transformed into his likeness” (2 Cor. 3:18). Such encounters happen through worship, holy relationships, scripture and prayer.

Brian Knarr
Worship Team Leader
Brian Knarr
Even before we became known as Ashes to Life Ministries, Brian became our regular worship leader. Living 45 minutes away, we asked if he could help out occasionally. He immediately began weekly trips to lead us before God’s throne in worship.
Though his primary ministry is leading a band, designing worship, and caring for the audio/visual components of our worship, he has a pastor’s heart for people, and is a key leader for our Celebrate Recovery Ministry.

Vision Team
Yep, these good-looking folks are the team that makes sure the vision of our church is accomplished: To be a church where the last, the least and the lost can find hope, healing and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. They will be serving together for the year 2021.
